Editorial & civic explanation
This work turns complex institutions into readable guides. The standard is clarity without campaigning: explain what an office does, distinguish facts from interpretation and give a reader a useful next step.
Data & verification
This work reconciles public-office names, institutions, source identifiers and geography. Conflicting records are investigated; unresolved identity matches are withheld. Portraits must match the person and retain attribution.
Product & accessibility
This work makes the directory usable on phones and larger screens, supports keyboard navigation and keeps source links close to the relevant field. Private voter records and individual political profiling are outside the project’s purpose.
Responsibility before a byline
These are the project’s working responsibilities, not a claim of separate staffed departments. Named contributors and their roles will appear with work they have actually contributed. No stock portraits or invented biographies are used.
